About this role

Product Managers at Caffeina lead multi-disciplinary teams in defining, designing, and launching our clients’ Digital Products. Combining strategic, project management, and stakeholder management skills, the Product Manager is responsible for the entire lifecycle of a product and collaborates daily with all stakeholders involved in its implementation.  

As a Product Lead/Supervisor at Caffeina, you will be a manager of a small group (4 or 5 people) of Product Managers. In this role, your primary goal will be to work alongside the Product Managers to empower them to do their best work by helping them create Digital Products that are truly useful to people and meet our customers’ business requirements.

The activities you will be responsible for together with the Product Managers on your team range from Problem Discovery to defining a Product Strategy to monitoring success metrics. The primary owner of all these activities will be the Product Manager, but it will be your job to support and help them manage the team and the customer.

The Product Management Team is embedded within the Digital Product Unit and the Design and Technology team. As Product Lead/Supervisor, you will work closely with the Design and Technology Leadership and the areas of Strategy, Media, and Integrated Marketing. This role will report to the Head of Product Management.

Your responsibilities

  • Product Strategy

You will support Product Managers in defining the Product Strategy of their Digital Products by helping them understand business objectives and managing the customer relationship (decision maker).

  • Team growth and structure

You will work with the Head of Product Management to manage the growth, hiring, and structuring of a diverse team of Product Managers at all seniority levels. You will help define and evolve the team’s internal routines and processes to achieve project goals while maintaining an internal climate of satisfaction, stimulation, and growth for all.

  • Agile Approach

You will push Product Managers and their respective teams to work within Agile development principles. Such as speed, simplicity, and ensuring the continuous and progressive value release to our users. You will stimulate and keep the discussion of these issues alive within the Digital Product Unit by fostering and exchanging ideas and transmitting these concepts to other business operations. 

  • Professional Growth

You will lead the professional growth of your team, actively mentoring individuals and monitoring professional growth paths. You will also be responsible for expanding the team’s skills by providing your expertise.

  • New business

You will personally pursue project proposals for new clients by defining the objectives and scope with them. With the Account Director, you will establish the proper fee for Caffeine ensuring that it is competitive in the market and balanced against the chosen objective.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration

You will actively collaborate with Designers, Developers, Strategists, Media Specialists, and Accounts to define cross-functional standards and procedures for successful Digital Products. It will be a crucial part of the role to establish strong collaborative relationships with other teams and Leaders.

Who you are

  • Previous experience as a Product Manager of 5+ years in a corporate/agency setting.
  • Proven experience in defining and/or evolving product strategies.
  • Proven experience as a direct people manager.
  • Knowledge of User-Centered Design and Design Thinking processes.
  • Basic knowledge of key website and application development technologies.
  • Basic understanding of Growth Marketing techniques for user acquisition.
  • Ability to manage stakeholders (internal and external) by effectively exposing their point of view and facilitating decision-making stages.
  • Commercial and consultative sensibility in proposing to the client the best design and methodological path depending on the context.
  • Leadership and passion for working closely with other Design and Technology leaders.
  • Ability to improve work processes within a cross-functional team.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Italian language.
  • Good understanding of the English language.

The team you’re gonna work with

You will be part of the Client Services team, led by Luca Sioli, Operations Director. You will work in the Product Management team together with Lorenzo Bertè (Head of Product Management) and Graziano Vincini (Product Supervisor).
