With Monkey 47, we brought a unique sensory experience to Milan Design Week with Experimentum 2y09:Rome gin. Influencers, journalists and more than 6,000 visitors were involved in a journey through art, aromas and cocktails, which saw the limited edition of the gin go sold out even before the end of the event.


Monkey 47 is an iconic brand in the gin world, known for the uniqueness and distinctive character of its blends. Each Monkey 47 product represents a sensory experience that enhances taste, quality and creativity, making the brand a favorite among premium gin enthusiasts globally.

Bringing visitors of the Milan Design Week into the Monkey 47 hub and developing their interest in a unique gin offering: the ‘kiss’ flavor.

Challenge

In a market filled with gin purists, we want to demonstrate that Monkey 47’s new Experimentum 2y09, a premium product made with Piedmont hazelnuts and created to honor Italy, is a sensory experience—not just a taste—that is worth experiencing.

We are activating a team of influencers to launch Monkey 47’s latest experimentum in a global market saturated with new offerings valued at nearly 15 billion dollars.

The urban jungle tour

An experiential journey that begins with a piece of street art and continues through olfactory paths, masterclasses, experimental cocktails, and a series of sensory activities leading to the discovery of Monkey 47’s Experimentum 2y09.

PR Event: Over 20 journalists involved and 5 of the trendiest cocktail bars in Italy.
Live Experience: Masterclasses, installations, and a sensory journey to discover the product’s composition.

We launched the new product from the Experimentum series and captured the attention of nearly 50 guests, including journalists and influencers, as well as over 6,000 visitors at Milan Design Week with a 360-degree sensory journey.

An immediate sell-out.
Thanks to the event and the contribution of the ambassadors, we organically brought nearly 6,200 people to experience one of the immersive journeys within the Monkey 47 hub, one of the 1,125 widespread events of the Fuorisalone.
